Anonymous Data Collection for Tutorial Platform Improvement & Research
Welcome to our online tutorial session! To help us improve this tutorial platform for future users and share our findings with the academic community, we are conducting a brief, fully anonymous evaluation.
1. What will we be asked to do?
As part of this online tutorial, you are invited to interact with the platform and complete brief pre- and post-surveys. The entire survey and evaluation process will take approximately 15 minutes.
2. Purpose & Data Privacy (Strictly Anonymous)
The data collected will be used to improve the tutorial platform and for academic research purposes, which may include publication in scientific venues. Your participation is completely anonymous.
- We will NOT collect any demographic information, names, or personally identifiable information (PII).
- We will NOT record your audio, video, or screen.
- The system will only collect interaction logs (e.g., clicks, task completion times) and your survey responses to evaluate the platform's usability.
3. Voluntary Participation & Withdrawal
Your participation is completely voluntary and will not affect your experience in the tutorial. You may choose to stop participating at any time by simply closing the survey or browser. However, please note that because no identifying information is collected, it will not be possible to withdraw your data once it has been submitted to our server.
4. Ethics Review
This anonymous data collection protocol has been reviewed and approved by the Institutional Review Boards (IRB) at the Korea Institute of Science and Technology (KIST IRB Protocol KIST-202511-HR-002).
